The first plan we had was to follow a realistic 3d style for the environment and a simple 3d style for the characters. We soon changed this when we realized that the amount of work it would take to texture and place everything would consume more time then we had. We also realized while testing this idea was that it was hard too make the animation look good as there were too many different styles in the scene overwhelming everything.

Style 1 (outdated)
In order to visualize what I wanted the animation to look like I first made this test scene using online sourced assets and photoshop. After creating this scene I made the decision that due to time limitations and wanting to fit our clients brief to make it more child friendly themed. We have decided to change the style to a more stylized flat shaded mix of 3d and 2d. We will not lose any progress because we have not started texturing yet and still have plain models. This new style will mean that we will not have to spend time texturing and making things look good as we will try to create a more stylized flat trailer.
